I am Phil Hodgson, the Neighbourhood Inspector for the Western Rural area. I am responsible for policing Dragon Hall, which covers the areas of Malpas, Huxley and Tattenhall; Frodsham, which covers the areas of Frodsham, Helsby and Kingsley; and Mickle Trafford, which covers the areas of Barrow, Kelsall and Tarporley.

It is almost four and a half years since I took on the role of Western Rural inspector and during that time I have worked hard to raise the profile of the police.

I would like to think the majority of people in the community know who I am, who their local officers are and how to contact us. The approach I have continually adopted during my time here has been to listen to the community to identify problems and use the resources I have to address them.

I was honoured on the 5th November 2009 with an MBE for services to Policing from Queen Elizabeth II.

I am confident that our approach of placing resources where they are needed is paying off. Our crime figures do not present any major worries and people who are committing offences are being arrested day in, day out.

It is combination of all the work that's going on throughout the area that sends out the message that crime will not be tolerated and offenders will be caught and dealt with.
