Sergeant Anne Boothby

I am in charge of the Neighbourhood Policing Team for the Vale Royal area of Western Rural. I have more than 25 years policing experience and I'm qualified to the rank of inspector. I have a BSc with honours degree in Applied Psychology.

My successes have come in developing a full range of operational initiatives tackling anti-social behaviour, traffic and licensing issues such as the ArcAngel champion.

In 2009, I received a Chief Superintendent's commendation for my community work in restoring village life to a blighted community troubled by alcohol-related violence and disorder from local youths. I have also devoted time in providing youth engagement facilities and services in my area from which a number of local young people have benefited.

I was transferred to Western Rural Neighbourhood Policing Unit and have been stationed at Frodsham since 2004. I am trained in the use of the Automatic Number Plate Recognition, the Speed Gun and Camera and the Speed Indication Device. I have also been trained to run Let's Bike courses and deliver Road Safety presentations to Primary Schools in the Western Rural Area. My main duties include setting up traffic initiatives, completing all operational orders for the traffic initiatives and collating the information.
