Sergeant Penny Jones

Sergeant Penny Jones

I joined the Metropolitan Police in 1989, spending six years in central London before transferring to Cheshire Constabulary. I have worked in a number of departments including the Uniformed Response Team, Public Protection Unit and also as a detective in CID before being promoted to the Sergeant on the Neighbourhood Policing Team based at Middlewich.

More than 20 years down the line, I am still enjoying policing and take a great deal of pride in the work that the team and I carry out around Middlewich, Holmes Chapel and the surrounding areas.

My priorities for the Neighbourhood Policing Team are to be visible and accessible and to reduce the levels of crime and anti-social behaviour within the community.

PCSO Roger Need

I was one of the first Cheshire Police Community Support Officers to be given powers to deal with some traffic offences. These include illegal parking and stopping vehicles being driven in an inconsiderate manner. In my previous career I spent eight years working in the retail car industry. I have also been an underwriter with a finance company and a small business advisor with a bank. I joined Cheshire Police because I wanted a completely new challenge. My hobbies include golf and football.
